The Youth Board have members representing a diverse number of colleges from the local area, coming together to make a difference. We work alongside the Board of Trustees of Youth Project NZ, sharing our ideas and passion to promote connectivity throughout our community. From organising litter pickups to hosting community picnics, we're all about helping people and taking care of our environment.​​

Who Are We?
Hey! I’m Ella Fong, the Chairperson of the Youth Board. I’m one of the main representatives between our board and Youth Project NZ's Board of Trustees. I attend trustee meetings to represent the voice of our youth board, sharing our updates, ideas, and feedback directly to them. At the same time, I bring back important information from the trustees to help our projects and make sure we’re on track with functional plans.

My role is to make sure everyone’s voice is heard, that we’re all on the same page, and that things run smoothly. I help lead this awesome group by creating a space that’s chill but focused where everyone feels comfortable and motivated to get involved. A place we can grow as young leaders while creating real change in our community.
Hi, I am Jenny Tan, the Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Board. I ensure finances are accurately recorded. Additionally, my role is to assist in organising fundraisers to allow the Youth Board to have sufficient funds for events to connect youth with their community. Being a part of the Youth Board allows me to work collaboratively with like-minded youth to achieve a common goal. It is a great opportunity to improve my skills and gain experience.
Kia ora koutou, my name is Alex Lin. I have the honour of being the Youth Board’s Secretary as a member of the Executive Committee. My role is to effectively ensure the administration work for the meetings are done! I write the agendas in order for the meetings to run well but also take note of what happens throughout so that I can write the minutes afterwards. I am extremely privileged to be part of the Youth Board, and not only am I proud of what we do but also immensely humbled by the number of passionate rangatahi that surely will be the leaders of tomorrow. I am excited to see what the future has in store for us, and I hope you share my enthusiasm!
Join Us!
We’re on the lookout for passionate young people aged 13 to 19 who attend local colleges. We hold monthly meetings in the Botany area and need members who are committed, enthusiastic, and ready to pitch in.
