Kindness is Contagious- Anchorage Park School
When we talk to the students about kindness we discuss the fact that kindness is contagious, it spreads from person to person. Your one act of kindness can have a ripple effect. Last week the Year 6 students from Anchorage Park School found out this was true and not just something I said to them!I delivered the flowers and cards they made to a local private hospital called The Manor which is part of the Ambridge Rose Group. Why do we teach about kindness?
Our goal is connect young people with their community so why focus on kindness? We believe that talking to young people about kindness and giving back to others helps them to connect to people and feel a sense of belonging themselves. Finding Frankie!
Last week I worked with students from Anchorage Park School who all took part in our Kindness in the Community Activities. The Year 6 students worked in pairs to make flower bouquets and kindness cards, then choosing whether to give them to local seniors or local volunteers.
