What a year it has been, it is just our second year and we have been blown away with the support from everyone.

Term 4 was our busiest term yet, working with four Primary Schools-

Anchorage Park- whole school

Elm Park- Years 1 and 3

Bucklands Beach Primary School-whole school

Cockle Bay - whole school- this was our biggest school so far, working with six classes a day for a week, busy but so much fun.

This year we visited 9 Primary Schools, working with nearly 4000 students!! They took part in our Kindness in the Community Activities, that is a lot of pocket hugs in pillow boxes, puzzles and flowers and cards going out in our community.

The pillow boxes filled with a pocket hug which were delivered to houses around the schools

It has been fantastic to see the young children want to help others and to see how their gifts made a difference to people in their community. All our activities are provided free of charge to schools and we bring everything needed to complete the activity.

We have also enjoyed working with local youth, both in our volunteering sessions and our amazing Youth Board. More and more young people are looking to give back to their community by volunteering.

The weekly after school volunteer sessions proved to be very popular, each week the students created something to help others from toys for animal shelters to care parcels for people in need.

The students asked the community to donate toiletry items for the care parcels- the response from the community was incredible.

Our Youth Board has also grown, they organised fun events for the whole community- free fun in the park afternoon for families, a fun walk around a park with activities along the way, community clean ups and aged care visits. They now also provide a regular session at Bruce McLaren Retirement Village to provide tech support for the residents.

None of this work would be possible without our wonderful volunteers, Claire, Faariah and Ann- who is also one of our trustees. These amazing ladies support me in all aspects of our work and I am so incredibly grateful to them all.

Lastly thank you to everyone for an amazing year, it has been a pleasure to meet so many wonderful people in our community, we look forward to making more community connections next year!
