Yesterday we worked with the Year 6 students at Sunnyhills School making flower bouquets and kindness cards. They were a delightful group of children who all worked so hard to produce a beautiful gift for others in the community.

They worked with a partner and really thought about who would be receiving the gift. The students could choose either local volunteers or seniors living in an aged care facility locally.

We love the messages inside the cards, this one is so special, the boys took so much time and care and even put our logos inside- great job boys!

Cara from The Charity Boutique in Howick was thrilled to receive the gifts and will give them to the volunteers who help her.

We talk to the students about how being kind makes you feel happy, today I have definitely felt happy being able to give out all these wonderful gifts made by the students.

As well as giving out the flowers I popped into Trinity Kindergarten to give the preschoolers some jigsaw puzzles, once again made by students from Sunnyhills School- this time Year 3 and 4 students. The teacher there was very grateful.
